Anna's puppies are growing like weeds. There is still one little boy
available.
Kennya is due this week to have her puppies and we are very excited
about that. She is such a great mother and her pups are so amazingly
calm. There is still some room on the waiting list depending on how many
she has. Please call or email with puppy application. The deposits will
be due as soon as the puppies are born. We will call everyone on our
waiting list in the order they have contacted us. We are still waiting
for Kara to come into heat.
We are looking for Guardian homes for Retrievers if anyone is
interested.

We have some exciting litters coming up! Anna and Geordie are
expecting a litter of red Miniature Poodles around Valentines day (Feb
14, 2010). Kara and Teddie will have an F1B Goldendoodle litter planned
for March - April of 2010. Kennya and Levi will have an F1 Goldendoodle
litter planned for February - April of 2010. If you are interested in
any of these litters, please give us a call to be added to a waiting
list.
Levi found a wonderful new home. He is doing well and is happy with
his new family.
GROOMING AVAILABLE! I am offering discounts to those who refer
customers to me. Please contact me to book your next grooming

All the puppies have now found new homes. If you are interested in a
puppy, please contact us to be added to the waiting list for the next
upcoming litter.
Levi, our apricot Standard Poodle is looking for a new home. He is
very well trained and well socialized. He is a sweet dog. He is
currently at a camp where he is not doing well with the constant change
of people coming in and out weekly so he would do better in a more
constant environment. The constant change of new people is a little too
stressful for him. Let us know if you are considering Levi or have any
questions regarding him. You can view more about him on his own page.
GROOMING AVAILABLE! I am grooming out of my home currently. Please
contact me to book an appointment before the Christmas holidays.

Nibs, our last remaining Goldendoodle puppy, is looking for a loving
home. She has a very sweet personality and is easy going. She is not
yappy or barky at all. She loves to play and is well socialized with
people and animals. She is very cuddly and loving, and would love to
find a family to love her back. Please contact us if you are interested
or have any questions about her.

We have four Goldendoodle females ready to go to good homes. They are
all very sweet in nature and are going to be people pleasers. Pictures
are now updated on the available page.
We would like to update some pictures of past litters on our website.
If you have purchased a puppy/dog from us, please email us some pictures
for us to post on the website. We love to see how everyone has grown and
an update on how they are doing.
Amanda (that's me) is back here and grooming again. If you are
looking for a dog groomer or know of family and friends looking for a
groomer, we are now offering that service again. I will try to get some
before and after pictures posted as soon as I can. I will also be
updating my prices. I trained under a master groomer for a few months
while I was in BC. I have learned a lot and have improved on a lot of
techniques. Please give me a call if you would like to book a
grooming appointment with me. 780-968-3884 (ask for Amanda).

Kennya's puppies are all doing well and in good health. She is
feeding them very well and they are all chubby. She has five little
ones, 4 girls and 1 boy. Check out the available page for recent
pictures. Please contact us if you would like to reserve a puppy.
Unfortunately, Anna did not have puppies this time around. She fooled
us as she pretended to nest and did all the right things to show us she
was pregnant, except gain weight. We are looking forward to breeding her
on her next heat cycle, which we expect to be in December -
January.
We decided not to breed Kara this cycle after all. There are way to
many things going on so we will be breeding her on her next cycle, which
we expect to come around February. We are planning on a litter of F1B
Goldendoodles, sired by Teddie. Please contact us if you wish to be on
the waiting list for this litter.

Kennya is having puppies as we speak. So far there is a blonde boy
and a black girl. She is doing well considering it is her first litter
and we thought she would need a c-section. So this is very good. If you
are on a waiting list I will be contacting you once the litter is all
whelped. If you would like a puppy from this litter please forward your
puppy application and a $200.00 deposit or email or call with any
questions you may have. Puppies would be ready to go by late September,
early October.
Anna is due August 19th and is very tiny yet. We will see if she has
a small litter very soon. If you are waiting for a puppy from this
litter we will contact you as soon as they have arrived.
Kara is now in heat and we will be breeding her to Teddie for an F1B
litter for later this fall. Please call if you wish to be on this
list.

Our last puppy from Abby and Painter's litter (Murphy) left for his
new home today. .
Anna is starting to eat more, so we are reasonably certain she is
busy trying to grow puppies. Make sure to contact us to be on
a waiting list, fill out an
application and send it to us as soon as possible.

We only have one puppy left from Abby and Painter's Litter. Murphy is
a cutie and I am sure will go soon. They sure are big and fun already.
They love playing in the yard and Maggie does such a good job being a
nanny. She LOVES puppies!!! We also had four kittens a while back that
are available for free. Only on is spoken for. We will post pictures on
the front page.
Kennya recently came into heat and we discovered when trying to breed
her that she is not a good candidate for breeding due to difficulty she
would have in delivering. She would have to have a C-section for sure
even if we actually got her bred. So we have made the tough decision to
retire her which leaves us with very few females to breed right now. We
will be looking for a guardian home for a retriever if anyone is
interested.
Anna and Tuxie were bred last week and Anna will be expecting puppies
in mid August. If you wish to be on the list, please fill in an
application and get it to us soon. Her last litter was spectacular. They
were beautiful puppies. That is all for now!

Abby and Painter's puppies are growing like crazy. They are now on
soft food and have their first teeth. Abby is doing an amazing job of
caring for them as usual. They have been out to the lake, outside and
cuddles endlessly by Debbie and her entourage of puppy cuddlers. These
are very socialized puppies. There are four left at this time and they
will be ready to on June 11, 2009. They will be going for their shots
and vet check next week. We are currently waiting for Anna and Kennya to
come into heat. If you wish to be added to the waiting list for either
litter please fill in an on-line puppy application and send it to us by
email or fax.

Great news!! Abby and Painter had their first litter together today.
Abby delivered 10 healthy puppies. We have 8 males, 2 females. Two of
the males are black and the rest are varying degrees of cream to red. We
have had a lot of interest in this litter and have a waiting list to
contact. If you are interest please fill in the online puppy application
under the forms section of our site. We do require a $200.00 deposit to
hold a puppy at this time and will be in touch with those who have
previously expressed interest first.

We have only one puppy left at this time from our litters of standard
and mini poodles. They all went to wonderful homes and we are so
thrilled. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Abby and Painter's
first litter together this coming week. It will be interesting to see if
any color comes into this litter from Painter's black and white. If you
are on the waiting list for this litter I will be calling you as soon as
they arrive. Hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather as much as we
are. The dogs are so happy to be outside playing on the lawn and the mud
is almost gone. Thank goodness!! A house without a trail of paw prints
is much nicer to live in.

Anna's babies received their first shots and were dewormed and vet
checked. They are both doing great and weighed the exact same 1.49kg at
the vet at 6 weeks. They also experienced their first hair cut and had
their noses shaved. They look so adorable. We took them to Jen's choir
and to a few pet stores to socialize them and they are both so laid back
and sweet. They are now eating solids and are almost completely weaned.
They will be ready to go in about a week. Both are still available. Very
calm puppies from very calm parents. They should both be great dogs.
Kara's puppies are growing so fast!! She has the most milk of any mom
we have ever had. They are always sleeping because they are so fat!
Little Gulliver is the smallest and yet was the first to open his eyes
and he is already exploring the entire pen, not afraid to venture away
from his litter mates. Cash on the other hand is a gentle giant and
spends most of his time in the puppy pile keeping everyone warm and
cozy.

Kara and her pups are doing great. The puppies are growing like
weeds. They are so sweet.
Abby was bred today and will be expecting puppies at the middle
of April. We have a fairly long waiting list for this litter but if you
wish to be added to the list, please contact us. For all
those waiting for this litter we will keep you posted.
Ana's babies go to the vet for their first shots next week. They will
also get their first haircut. They are doing great and Ana is a
wonderful mother. Both Topher and Alejandro are very laid back little
guys and are huge already. They will be ready to go home in two weeks.

Kara and her pups made their first visit to the vet to get tails and
dewclaws done. Everyone at the clinic was gushing about how cute these
little ones are. They are all doing great and have already grown since
yesterday.
Abby just came into heat today and will be bred at the end of next
week. We would be expecting a litter of puppies in 2 months. For all
those waiting for this litter we will keep you posted. We have a
fairly long list for this litter already.

Painter and Kara had their first litter of pups. Kara delivered 6
healthy parti-colored black and white standard poodles. They are
all doing great. There are 4 females and two males. Ironically the
largest and smallest pups are both males. If you are interested in these
pups please contact us and get your name on the waiting list for one of
these gorgeous pups.
Ana's puppies are growing like weeds and are looking for homes. They
will be ready to go in four weeks. They are so cute and starting to play
and growl at each other and love being cuddled. Please call if you are
interested in one of these cute puppies. They will be registered
miniature poodles.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year.
All our pups are now spoken for, and the last one will be
flying to his new home next week. Thanks to each of you who have
provided our pups a new home. We always love to hear from
"our kids". Anna is healthy and beginning to show
nesting behaviour..... under Jen's bed. Now we wait.......

Merry Christmas everyone!
We are so delighted with the great homes the puppies are going
to. There are only three left. We would love to see them with their
families so they can bond.
Anna is huge and still has 3 1/2 weeks until she is due. We are
hoping for a smooth delivery.

Just wanted to update everyone on the puppies. They had their
vaccinations and vet checks yesterday. they are all doing very well.
They had a busy day as after the vet they visited the school, Harry's
work and back home. Their personalities are really starting to come out
and they are a lot of fun to watch play together. They are definitely
starting to want people more than mom. They are almost 100% weaned and
are on 1/2 solid and 1/2 soft food. By next week they will be on solid
food only.
Anna is sleeping a lot building babies as well. We can't wait to see
her beautiful babies as well.
Kara and Painter were successfully bred and we eagerly anticipate
that litter in mid-February.
Hope everyone has a happy holiday and enjoys their new puppies when
they get home.

Maggie's puppies are growing and doing very well. The new pictures on
our puppy page show how much they have changed already. They will be
ready to go the week of Christmas. Please call if you are interested and
visiting them as they are old enough for that now. We are also expecting
a litter of puppies from Anna and Tuxie mid-January. This should be
wonderful pairing with some interesting color combinations. If you are
interested in being on the waiting list for this litter, please call and
let us know.
Also Kara and Painter will be bred this week and would be expecting a
litter mid-February. This will be a standard poodle litter with a lot of
color. They are both such beautiful dogs. Again, if you wish to be
put on the waiting list for this litter, please let us know.
Have a wonderful December preparing for and enjoying the Christmas
spirit of the season. From our family to yours, we wish you a very
blessed holiday season!

Maggie has just finished giving birth to 11 healthy pups: 9 males and
2 females. They are all doing great. If you are currently on the waiting list, now would
be the time to start sending a $200.00 deposit. Feel free to email or
call me if you have any questions. It is just before 11 pm and Maggie is
being a great Mom, as expected. They are
all varying shades of cream to slightly reddish in color. It will be easier to tell once they are
completely dry. We are very excited. Watch the web page for updates and
individual pictures as they grow.

Sorry we have not updated for a while. We had a false pregnancy with
Kara for a standard litter that did not materialize. Anna and Tuxie also
did not successfully breed in her last cycle. We finally are expecting
another litter. Kenya and Painter are expecting a litter in late
August. We have a few people on the waiting list. Please call or email
if you are interested in puppies from this litter. The colors could be
anything as Painter is a multi-color carrier. We have also heard
from many of our puppies families and they have provided pictures.
Please check out the Past Litters page for updated pictures.
Our eldest daughter Amanda, who usually does the website just got
married April 26,2008. It makes me feel old to have a married child
already. The day was beautiful and of course she is now living with her
husband, Danny in Stony Plain. We get to see them often, but she isn't
around to do her late night web work. So I will have to learn. Thanks
for your patience.

Only one puppy remains without a family yet. Daisy is the only girl
left. She is very sweet and will fit into a home with children or
without. She loves to be cuddled and plays hard and then crashes. She is
such a sweetie.
This litter has amazing personalities. We have already heard from
many of the new families and the pups are adjusting well to their new
homes.

Tues, Mar 18/08
The puppies are getting huge. They all had vet checks and
vaccinations last week and did great! Not a whimper from anyone. Six of
the puppies have gone to their new homes already There are still three
for sale. Radar, Pride and Daisy are still waiting for new homes. They
are all wonderful temperaments. Their coats are also getting longer by
the day. Abby has bounced back quite nicely after doing such a great job
raising these wonderful pups. Many thanks to Debbie and Peter (Abby's
home) for the many hours they put in cuddling and caring for these
little ones. It has sure shown in their personalities how much they have
been socialized.
On another note, we will be expecting a litter of Kara X Painter pups
late in May. They will be wonderful varieties of colors and awesome
personalities as well. If you know anyone looking for Standard Poodles,
tell them to call or check the website for updates.

half open eyes or one eye open and one eye closed. Just thought I would
post some more recent shots for those of you who I've promised new
pictures. Well, hope you enjoy.

Wed, Aug 8/07
It has been quite crazy around here. I apologize again for not
updating the BLOG faithfully. Here's a quick update, as I am on the run
again.
Ana is growing out her full puppy coat and looks adorable. She is
still as smart and as cute as ever, just with a lot more hair. She sort
of has an afro and looks like she could be from Jamaica with dreadlocks
(sometimes). I will try to get some recent pictures up soon.
Maggie has fully recovered from her litter of 9 pups. She is now
ready to take on the next challenge. She is due to come into heat
sometime in the next few weeks. It could be any day now, actually. We
are expecting her upcoming litter to be ready for homes around November
- December. This litter will be F1B Doodles, bred to Gunther (our
chocolate Standard Poodle). We expect the puppies to all be chocolate
but we could be wrong. We'll have to wait and see.
Abby and Levi will be having a litter shortly after Maggie. Their
puppies will be ready for homes in December - January. They will be F1
Doodles of an Apricot color. We have a long waiting list so get your
deposits in soon.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I am looking forward to my
own summer holidays as I need a good break from my several jobs and
daily routines. Thanks for being patient with me and I hope to be back
and get you all up to date on the next events. I am looking forward to
adding some more Miniature to my breeding lines so please put the word
out that I need guardian homes for some adorable red and black Miniature
Poodle pups. I might even have a Chocolate pup coming soon. We'll see.

Ginger's puppies got their first face shave today. They look so cute.
Once I get some good pictures of them, I will post them on the

better pictures up of these guys when I get the chance as well. Thanks

Maggie's puppies are all on soft food now. They are getting very
social and love attention. They are all so big and moving around a lot.
They are starting to become rambunctious and are exploring every inch of
every space they encounter. Their personalities are all outstanding and
they are all very smart. There are only two puppies left!
Ginger's puppies are starting to crave attention now and are getting
a longer coat. They all have little cowlicks and their hair is sticking
out in every direction. They are so cute and getting around well on
their feet. They are starting to explore their surroundings a little
more and are becoming more attentive.

Maggie's puppies have there eyes and ears open now. They are SOOOO
adorable!!! Check out the updated pictures on the Available page. They
are starting to walk and wiggle around. Some of them are even getting
out of their box now. They are wagging their tails to test them out and
starting to bark and howl. They are growing so fast and are starting to
get quite heavy. Over the last few days we've already seen a growth
change. It's amazing that they grow so fast.
Ginger's puppies are starting to open their eyes now. In a few days,
they will be completely open and will start to learn to walk. They are
also very cute. The two parti pups are so cute, with very unique
markings. I wish I could keep them all to myself!

All the puppies are healthy and growing like crazy. Maggie's puppies
have doubled in weight in the last week and are now all close to two
pounds each. They make all kinds of noises while they sleep and twitch
as they chase bunny rabbits in their sleep. Ginger's puppies are so small
when you have just visited Maggie's but they are all healthy and doing
well. Both Ginger and Maggie are great moms. Ginger's litter is
completely sold and Maggie has 6 puppies left in her litter. It is hard
to believe they are already a week old. If you are interested in a puppy
or would like to arrange a visit to come pick one out, please call or
email and we would be happy to make arrangements for you to come and
look. Well, better get some sleep while I can.

Ginger delivered a litter of 3 healthy puppies early
this morning. Two females and one male. The male is a black tuxedo,
identical to his dad, and the females are light cream and apricot.
Ginger is doing well and is a great mom. Pictures will be up as soon as
I get a hold of a camera.

Maggie delivered 9 healthy puppies last night.
At 3:00 am this morning, she is done, with the healthy arrival of 5
males and 4 females. Their weights range from 400 - 550 g (13-18
oz) and all are active and nursing. Pictures will probably get posted later
today.

Maggie is due to have her puppies any day now. We are expecting a
large litter, so if you are interested in a puppy, please contact us. We
are now receiving deposits.
Ginger is due to have puppies next week so we are excitedly awaiting
the arrival of that litter as well. Contact us for more information.
As soon as the puppies are born, we will post pictures and more
information. Sit tight and keep checking the website for updates. Here
are some pictures of Ginger (left) and Maggie (right) in their late
pregnancy. As you can see, they are quite round.

We are looking for a new guardian home for Levi. His guardian family
is moving and can no longer keep him. If you would like to know more
about Levi, please contact us or check out his individual page. The
pictures are not recent (sorry!) as we were not able to get a good
photo. As soon as we get some pictures, they will be posted on the
website. He is now about 11 months old and has grown a ton since the
pictures on his page. He is now fully grown and very handsome. Feel free
to call for more information.

Well, Maggie and Ginger are definitely pregnant. They are getting
quite large and starting to suck up to everyone. We can't wait to see
what the outcome of these two litters are.
We have a new addition to our family...Anastasia! She is a dark red
Miniature Poodle and she is so sweet. Pictures don't do her justice. She
is so smart and doing well with housetraining already. She is quite
curious and very confident, although she loves to cuddle and be with
people. She follows you around at your heels, making sure she is not
left behind. Then, when you sit down, she snuggles up in your legs or
arms and surveys all the action taking place.
We also have some sad news. Brooklyn, one of our gorgeous Golden
Retrievers, has recently passed away. She was experiencing regular
fainting spells after any level of activity. This became progressively
worse. The veterinary ultrasounds showed a tumor in her heart which was
interfering with her blood flow. We are sad that such an unusual and
unavoidable event occurred
to such a beautiful dog (both in looks and in personality) and she will
always be remembered by us and most of all her guardian family who did
such a great job in caring for her.
Well, for now, that's all the updates I have at the moment.

Sorry that I haven't blogged in a while. I have been busy with my new
job. Well, Maggie did successfully breed with Teddie so we are expecting
puppies from them come April.
Ginger is also in heat. We are hoping to breed her one last time
because she throws such beautiful puppies. We will keep you updated on
how this goes.
For now,

YAY!!!! Maggie is now in heat. We are breeding her to Teddie (our F1
Goldendoodle) this upcoming week and will be expecting puppies to come
about the first week of April, ready for homes the middle of May. The
puppies will be F2 Goldendoodles. We are very excited for this litter
and can't wait to see the outcome.
Waiting excitedly,
Amanda

Tues, Jan 9/07
We are hoping to be able to use Brooklyn for her first litter in
about 6 months from now. She is doing well and is happy and healthy in
her loving guardian home.
Maggie just recently got a new haircut. She is now sporting a very
Poodle-like look. We love our Maggie shaggy, however, she needed a shave
so we thought we would demonstrate the different looks that a dog can
have. It all depends on the hair style.

Here are the before and after pictures. Without all that
hair, we thought she might get a little cold outside in the snow, but
she loves it just as much and still begs to go outside every half hour.
Ginger doesn't even recognize Maggie anymore. She knows that she smells
the same but still doesn't think she's the same dog as she looks
entirely different.
Recently, I have been receiving emails from some of the
puppy owners from Mocha and Bhima's litter. All the puppies are doing
well and learning lots in their new homes. I have received some pictures
as well, which are posted on the Past Litters page and the Standard
Gallery page as well. They are all growing so fast and getting big.
Gunther is about as big as Maggie now and not yet fully grown. Pinot and
Sassy are enjoying their winter holiday. Miss Moki is doing well also
with her new pal Capi. April is also doing well. She is an outstanding
dog and is very smart. Thanks to all the dog owners that sent me
pictures and updates.
Well, check out all the new pictures. Thanks to all of
you who keep checking our site regularly. We are hoping to expect our
first litter with Maggie soon. And then next we expect with either
Brooklyn or Abby.
That's all for now,
Amanda

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I wish you all a great new year and the best of
luck with your new year's resolutions.
Well, Teddie is a new dad. He is the father of 9 healthy F2 Doodle
puppies that live in Calgary with another breeder. Ironically, the
female's name is Maggie. We are glad to hear that they are doing well.
We are expecting our Maggie to come into heat in the near future,
this month or the next. Her expected heat should come sometime in
February, so we will definitely keep you posted on when she is ready for
her first litter. We can't wait and are so excited.
Tux, my new Tuxedo Parti Miniature Poodle is scheduled to come on
Friday the 12th. I can't wait to meet him. He sounds like a sweet heart.
Check out his new page. I am also waiting on a female to come from a
breeder in Ohio. She is black with Parti genetics. She just had her
first litter of 5 puppies, so we are waiting until her puppies are
weaned before she will arrive here in Edmonton. She is looking for a
guardian home so if you are interested, please let me know. I am happy
to answer any questions you have about her. You can also check out the
available page where she is posted and there are some pictures of her as
well.
That's all for this update...I would love to hear from you.

Thurs, Dec 21/06
The Christmas weekend is fast approaching and we are scrambling to
get everything ready. We are hosting Christmas dinner at our nearly
finished and newly renovated house.
Maggie loves it here on the acreage. She can't help but run and dash
through the snow, bounding from neighbor to neighbor. She usually comes
when we call but there are just too many interesting smells to follow.
We have several family of deer that are regularly tramping through
our yard and pasture. We don't mind of course, it's such a beautiful
site to admire. It's hard to remember that they come daily, so someone
always jumps to grab the camera and takes about 40 to 100 pictures every
time we see a couple deer. You do the math!
I have some good news and bad news to share with all you Miniature
Poodle lovers. The bad news or the good news first? Well, the good news
is, I am purchasing two new Miniature Poodles to add to my breeding
lines. The male is a Tuxedo Parti, the female is a black Mini with Parti
genetics. The male is being shipped here sometime next week, we are
hoping (depends on the weather). For the bad news, the female became
"accidentally" pregnant before we had all the shipping
arrangements in order so she is going to be staying a little longer than
expected. She will arrive once her pups have been weaned.
Here is the most recent picture of our darling Maggie as she models
her Christmas present. Check out all the Breed Gallery's for new
pictures. There are some priceless ones of Maggie, as usual. What a
character she is.

We wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We
hope you all enjoy this holiday season.

Thurs, Dec 14/06
Wow, I haven't blogged in a while. I apologize to all those who
faithfully check the website, as there have been no recent updates
through our moving process. Thanks to all those requesting and reminding
me to update the blog.
Well, for starters, Ginger went through a false pregnancy. She did
not end up having puppies, but did a good job at acting pregnant to
convince us to feed her puppy food. It was a disappointment, but we are
somewhat thankful as the timing would have been really bad with our
renovation plans.
We are now in our new house, in a camping state amongst the disaster.
We are nearing completion with little details to finish before we can
unload our moving truck and unpack our furniture and other belongings.
We are excited to be able to do that this weekend, as we cross our
fingers. Our new place is great! Our new kitchen is very close to
finished and working, minus the stove and sink not working yet (hoping
for that to happen by the end of the day).
Newest update on Kara...she is staying in Calgary in a guardian home.
She loves it there and is doing well. She has adapted quickly to her new
place and her new mom adores her, along with the kids.
Maggie is loving the acreage. She tends to wander to the neighbor's,
looking for a new friend in Rocky (a Chocolate Lab). We are planning to
put up a big run for the dogs as soon as things are settled. Her
favorite thing to do is bound through the snow, imitating deer or
rabbits. Considering her size, she looks more like a deer in my opinion.
Speaking of deer, we get tons in the backyard. Almost everyday, we
have a few walking through the yard or pasture, scouting for food or
just taking a leisurely walk. The other day we saw 7 of them, doe with
fawn trailing behind. I will have to post some of the pictures I took
when I have the time.
Thanks to all those faithful customers who have come for grooming
among the chaos. You are keeping me in business! :-)
We took a couple of the dogs to an eye clinic in November. Teddie,
Maggie, Painter, and Brooklyn did very well and all have clear eyes.
They were all very well behaved as well. Thanks to the guardian parents
for coming out and helping with that.
Well, to say the least, we have been busy. I will hopefully get to
post some before and after pictures of the new house on the web when I
get the chance. Now that we have internet access at home, it will be
much easier to update the website. Thanks for being patient.
Back to painting I go,
Amanda

Mon, Nov 6/06
Ginger is nearing her due date, although she has not expanded in her
midsection as much as I had hoped for. We are still hoping that she
caught on this breeding.
Teddie bred to an F1 Goldendoodle female from a breeder in Calgary
last week to produce F2 Goldendoodle pups. We are excited to see what
their puppies look like. If you are interested in seeing pictures, check
out the website at www.windyhillskennel.com.
The female he bred to is also named Maggie. Quite ironic!
Renovations at the new house are going great. We are hoping the main
level will be completed by the end of this week or beginning of next
week. Until then, we are working hard to get finished.
HI-HO-HI-HO, it's off to work we go...

Fri, Oct 27/06
Ginger and Littles are now expecting a litter of puppies on November
9, 2006. That is just the due date so keep checking the website for any
further updates on when they arrive. Pictures and details will be posted
on the available page. We are very excited to see the outcome.
Maggie and Duke are having a blast together. They are best of buddies
and partners in crime. They like to play in the garden and get into
mischief together when no one is looking. They refuse to each their own
food because they other one's food looks a whole lot better.

Kara is doing so good. She is hanging out with us at the acreage
while we do our renovations. She loves the outdoors but loves to be
where everyone else is even more. She is happy to sleep at the front
door or watch the renovations take place, as long as she is around
people. She is so smart and loves to run. She is such a happy girl with beautiful
color and conformation. We are looking forward to seeing what her
puppies look like in the future. We took Kara along in the car while
running errands the other day and we went through the car wash. She was
so funny because she didn't know what was going on. She wasn't scare but
kept looking at all the windows as the water was pouring down the sides.
She kept cocking her head out of curiosity. It was so cute.
Our new contact information has changed. I don't have it in front of
me so I can't tell you our address yet. I can tell you how to reach us,
however. We can be reached by cell phone at 780-993-8309. Our new home
phone number is 780-968-3884, but with the renovations taking place, it
is not a guarantee that we will answer. We now live in Stony Plain and
renovations are going well. We hope to be somewhat settled in the new
house in about 2 weeks.
Wishfully thinking,
Amanda
|

Fri, Oct 13/06
We are out of the old house now, but are waiting on renovations to
take place. We are not yet in the new house so it will be another week
or so.
Abby is growing bigger. We do not have recent pictures of her yet but
will soon. Maggie and Teddie are fully grown now and are such dolls.
They are big teddy bears and love to give big bear hugs. Maggie is so tolerant.
Right now she is staying in the same house as another dog, Duke (Bichon
Frise) and they play together for hours. Maggie seems to know her own
strength because she never plays harder than the dog she's playing with.
She is very gentle with other dogs and loves to drag toys in front of
them to convince them to play.
Everyone is healthy and happy at this point. We are hoping to get
some tests done in the next month or two for the older dogs so they are
ready for breeding in the spring.
Till next time,
Amanda

Tues, Oct 3/06
We are almost prepared for our move this weekend. We are anxious to
get into the new house. The moving process will take about two weeks so
I apologize ahead of time for not updating the website during that
period of time.
Levi had his first haircut today. We were trying to grow out his coat
to show him in the spring, but the timing isn't right. We would love to
show him in the future because he is such a good prospect.
Kara had her face shaved today. I was surprised at how still she sat.
She is quite the phenomenal dog. She is so intelligent and has amazing
confirmation. She would do wonderful in agility and flyball
competitions, and would make an outstanding athlete. She will grow to be
quite tall and she is very agile and energetic. She is such a sweetheart
and adores attention. She gets along with other dogs but is so much more
attentive to people.
Littles is doing well in his new home. He seems to enjoy the kids and
vice versa.
We love our dogs,
Amanda

Wed, Sept 20/06
There are lots of new pictures added to the website. Check out the Gallery,
Doodle Gallery, Miniature
Poodle Gallery, and Standard Poodle
Gallery. Also, check out Maggie's page. She
has a new haircut. Some photos on the services
page have changed also.
Littles has now found a home. He went to a nice family with kids that
will give him tons of attention. Some updated pictures of him will be up
soon. He also made the Poodle calendar for 2008. That's so
exciting.
Stay tuned,
Amanda

Tues, Sept 19/06
Sorry, it been a while. We have been extremely busy with our new
house plans and getting packed for the move. I previously mentioned
about breeding Littles and Ginger for a litter in December. We hope that
she caught and is pregnant, but I can't give any guarantees yet. I will
be sure to post it as soon as I am sure. I can't wait to see the outcome
along with a few other people I have talked to.
We still have three dogs looking for permanent guardian homes so
please spread the word for us as we are moving in less than a month.
They are all adorable and are looking for loving homes. They are all
fairly well behaved and each have a different but great personality.
Check out the breed information pages. They are up and finished now.
If you have any suggestions for changes to be made, let me know. I would
love to hear feedback.
Nothing more to say,
Amanda

Thurs, Sept 7/06
I have decided to use Littles to breed with Ginger this fall. The
puppies are expected to come in December. We are expecting red, apricot,
and cream puppies. I can't wait to see the outcome of colors and
personalities. Let me know if you are interested.
Ending on a short note,
Amanda

Wed, Sept 6/06
Brooklyn came home from the airport yesterday. She was wonderful. She
was happy to see us and very sweet. She does well in the car and slept
for about 3 hours in the car on the way home. She doesn't get stressed
easily and loves attention. She is adorable and has a wonderfully soft
coat. She is a great dog with a great personality.
That's all that's new,
Amanda

Sun, Sept 3/06
Another new month with lots of excitement. Ginger and Maggie are both
in heat. Ginger will hopefully be having another litter coming up in
December sometime if all goes well. We are going to wait with Maggie
until the next cycle, which we are predicting the litter to come around
April.
We received Littles (a red Miniature Poodle) on Friday. He is such a
doll. I have already fallen in love with him. He is so sweet and cuddly
and so well behaved. He is fully trained and well-mannered. He is gentle
and loves everyone. He is not barky and is kennel trained. He loves to
follow you are around and sit at your feet or on your lap. He gets along
with anyone and anything. We are looking for a great guardian home for
him to live so if you are interested or know of anyone, please feel free
to contact us.
Love to hear from you,
Amanda

Thurs, Aug 31/06
We got Kara from the airport yesterday. She is an amazing puppy. We
absolutely adore her! She has a wonderful temperament and beautiful
coloring/markings. She was a little bit nervous when we first met her
but as soon as we got her outside, she was so excited and energetic. She
didn't know what to do with herself. She was doing flips and jumping
like a jack-rabbit. It was very fun to watch. When we got her home, she
right away got along with the dogs and was playing nicely with everyone.
We threw a toy for her and she immediately ran to get it and dropped it
at our feet. She is such a cute, sweet dog. She is quiet and loves to
cuddle, but is content to play with the dogs as well. Her first time
sleeping in the kennel was okay; she barked for a bit, then started to
chew on a bone and went to sleep. We are quite impressed. Of course we
had to show her off to everyone this morning so we took her to school
and work and to the pet store. She was excited to see all the kids and
loved the attention. She was quiet and still in the car, whether she was
on someone's lap or on the back seat by herself. She is a very content
dog and we love her tons. She sits still when you bathe her, blow dry
her, when you touch her all over, and check her teeth and eyes. She
would be an awesome show prospect and great at agility because she is
such a people-pleaser.
Keep checking for updates. We are receiving two more tomorrow. We
can't wait!
TTFN,
Amanda

Tues, Aug 22/06
Maggie just came into heat yesterday. We are so excited for her
because that means she will be having her puppies sooner than we
expected. We are expecting her first litter to come in about April
(2007) instead of in the summer. We can't wait.
We are looking for possible guardian homes for several new dogs, some
are puppies and some are young adults. We need homes for a few Standard
Poodles, a Miniature Poodle, and possibly a Golden Retriever. If you are
interested or know of anyone who might be suitable, please contact us
and ask about our Guardian Program.
We have three new members of our family; Littles, Brooklyn, and Kara.
We hope we find good guardian homes for them and can't wait to cherish
memories with these three sweeties.
That's all for now,
Amanda
|

Mon, Aug 21/06
All of the Standard Poodle puppies are sold now. Levi is still
looking for a guardian home. He is doing well and is very well
socialized. He comes right away when you call and is absolutely
wonderful for grooming. He walks well on a leash now. He just loves
attention and follows people around everywhere. He loves to wrestle with
Maggie, although is Maggie is a few times his size. He is doing well
with house training. Only one accident so far.
We may be moving soon to Stony Plain. Don't worry, we are still going
to be breeding and grooming. We are going to be about 20 minutes out of
the city so it's not too far. It will be nicer for the dogs to have
space to run. We will also be continuing our Guardian Program as it
seems to be working out well. We will keep you updated on the moving
process.
Sadly, Mocha is no longer with us. She went back to her original home
as she was homesick. She is doing absolutely great now and she won't
leave her owner's side. We are glad to see that she is happier and back
where she belongs. We will miss her.
Sorry, we have no puppies available but check out our Planned
Litters page for upcoming litters. We are always looking for
Guardian Homes so if you are interested in a specific breed, let us know
and we will update you on anything that we may have available.
Ta-ta for now,
Amanda

Sat, Aug 7/06
We have been away on holidays for the last few weeks so there has not
been much updated on the website lately. The dogs are still growing like
weeds. Maggie and Teddie had a play-date a few weeks ago. They loved it.
Teddie has grown so much and he definitely suites his name... he's such
a teddy bear.
All of Ginger's puppies have gone to their homes and they are adored
by their families. Some of them have already come back for their first
grooming and to visit their mom.
Mocha's puppies are getting bigger too. I haven't seen them in two
weeks so we'll have to see how big they have gotten. I will post some
recent pictures of them as soon as possible. Levi has grown lots as
well. He is still looking for a guardian home. He is doing great with
housetraining and he comes when you call. We took Maggie and Levi out in
the canoe yesterday and they just loved it. They loved watching the
birds and fish go by. Maggie thought it was funny to lean on one side of
the canoe to drink some water when we were least expecting it. Luckily,
she never managed to tip the boat. Levi liked the taste of the boat...he
spent most of the time licking the canoe if he wasn't sleeping. I will
update pictures of them as soon as they are downloaded.
Abby (now her permanent name) is adored by her guardian family. She
is being well socialized and is even allowed to 'help' in the garden. To
say the least, the carrots are a bit squished! Abby is now on her
holiday with her family out at the lake. She will have tons of fun
swimming.
It's nice to be back,
Amanda

Once again, I have made some changes to the website. I would love
some feed back on the website design from anyone. We want the website to
be convenient for everybody and we want to be able to showcase our dogs
as best as we can. Feel free to send suggestions or comments to us about
our website and how we can improve it.
We have two new members to our family. Levi is our Apricot Standard
Poodle male. I am looking forward to showing him next year. We are
looking for a guardian home for this guy. If you know of anyone, or are
interested, please contact us to set up an interview. Abby, (temporarily
named) is our new Golden Retriever female. She is the newest addition
and has been placed in a loving guardian home. She is adorable and a
very light cream color. We can't wait to see how these two puppies grow
up and what their future litters turn out.
Sorry for the inconvenience of web changes,
Amanda

I am sorry to all of you who have visited our site previously and are
a little confused now because of the new changes. I have changed around
the site a little bit and it is still somewhat under construction. This
way is a lot easier to organize and find things as we increase and
upgrade our breeding stock. I hope you all like the new changes. It may
take a little getting used to. If you have any suggestions of how to
change the site or find any problems with it, feel free to contact us
and send us your concerns.
Thanks,
Amanda

A few of Ginger's puppies have now gone to their new homes. They are
doing very well and adapting to the change quickly. Check out our Miniature
Poodle Gallery page for more updated pictures as they grow.
Maggie got a major haircut this week due to the heat. She looks a lot
different now and will take some getting used to, but she is still our
adorable Maggie Moo.
Mocha's puppies are still growing like weeds. They are starting to
change so much and their individual personalities are starting to really
show. It is getting easier to tell them apart. We just took a bunch of
pictures of them in mom's hanging flower pots. They look adorable. Check
out the Standard Poodle Gallery page and Available page for these pictures.
We are advertising some Black Lab pups on our Available page for a
friend of ours. Check it out. Also, we are looking for guardian homes
for two puppies. To find out more about the program, see our Puppy Info
page or Contact us.
That's all for now,
Amanda |

Mon, June 26/06
Mocha's puppies have now had their first haircuts as well. They did
really well and are very cute. They are getting bigger and more playful.
We had all 15 puppies running and playing in a pen together outside and
they love it. They seem to enjoy the fresh air and grass. Both litters
are on soft canned food now and starting to eat kibble. They all have
teeth and are teething like crazy. When you go in the pen, they all
attack your ankles and chase you around until you pet them.
More to come,
Amanda |
| |
Tues, June 13/06
Ginger's puppies just received their first haircuts yesterday.
Considering their age, they were very well behaved and sat very still
while I shaved their noses. They are so adorable and look more like
poodles now. This is the first year I have shaved the puppies before
sending them to their new homes.
That's all for now,
Amanda |

Sat, June 10/06
There is one puppy left of Ginger's to sell. Her puppies are getting
very social and playful now. All they want to do is play and be cuddled
by people. They are playing with their toys and come when you call.
Their teeth are starting to come in as well.
Mocha's puppies are walking now and growling a lot. They are getting
big. We sold one yesterday.
Maggie is getting jealous that there are all these puppies and she
can't play with them. She tries to give Mocha's puppies baths and nurse
them. She's a silly dog. We have had to take her out of the whelping pen
a few times which doesn't make her very happy.
Till next time,
Amanda |
| |
Mon, June 5/06
Maggie (our Goldendoodle) has been trying to nurse Mocha's puppies
lately. She is going to make an excellent mom because she is helping
Mocha clean the puppies and checking on them once in a while. Mocha
doesn't seem to mind.
Ginger's puppies are selling fast. We have two left at this moment
but we have another sale pending. The puppies are very playful at this
point and becoming well socialized. They are starting to follow people
around and come to you when called. All of them love to cuddle.
Mocha's puppies are also getting bigger. They are starting to walk and
become a little more playful. They are also starting to eat solid
food.
That's all for now,

Today Maggie (our Goldendoodle) went for a walk to the
dog park. She went for her first swim in the river and she loved it. It
was probably very refreshing for her, as it was 30 degrees. However, she
came back full of sand and mud. She also received a bath shortly
afterwards.
Mocha's puppies all have their eyes open now. They are
starting to become better on their feet and are crawling all over the
place. A few of them were making some funny growling and howling noises
today. It was so cute. There is a big variety to choose from in this
litter. Some are smaller than others, some are very big and plump, and
we have a variety of colors (from light or dark apricot to chocolate or
black). We even have one dark apricot female with white feet.
Ginger's puppies are getting big fast. They love to
wrestle and play with each other and are starting to become very social.
They are also learning to pee outside the bed, which is a nice start to
house-training. They are going to be very smart dogs. There are still
three available, so let us know if you are interested.
That's all for today,
